Why should I have my vehicle
detailed?
Protect your investment; a regular detailing
program will increase the resale value of your vehicle. Sun,
salt, acid rain, bugs and sprinkler water deteriorate the exterior
as well as the interior. A detailed vehicle saves the costly
replacement of tops, rubber components and interior items.
Why does it take a few hours to
clean your car?
It takes more than a few hours to get your car
dirty. Which is why it takes more than a few minutes to clean
it properly. Ah, but who has the time to clean your car like
it deserves? We do at The Boca Car Wash.
How is detailing different from
getting my car "washed & waxed?"
There's no comparison. Detailing a
full-size car is a few hour job. It begins with a wash and
includes the meticulous cleaning of every square inch of your car
with sponges, chamois, tooth-brushes and q-tips. Then your car
is professionally polished to remove surface scratches and oxidation
that may have dulled the outer layer of paint. After that it
is hand waxed. Detailing also includes the thorough cleaning
of your engine, a complete shampoo of your car's interior, and more.
Other than the day you purchased it, your car has never looked as
good as it will when it's been professionally detailed.
When should I have my vehicle
detailed?
Typically, a high quality wax will last 4 to 6
months. Color of paint, weather conditions and the amount of
exposure to elements (sun, salt, acid rain, bugs, sprinkler water,
etc.) are all factors that effect the longevity of the finish.
Regular monthly checks by our detailing
department professionals should be made to get an estimate on when
your follow-up detailing should be scheduled.
Is there a "lifetime
protection?"
We constantly hear that the new finishes do
not require protection. Paint finishes are more "high tech"
today, but the truth is that the "clear coat" which is supposed to
protect the color is nothing more than paint without pigment.
Once salt, sun or acid rain penetrates the clear coat, the paint
deteriorates very rapidly. You must have wax protection
on all vehicles! |
